Schedule a free device discussionThe Framework Remains. The Technology Has Evolved.
Current-generation Tennant technology preserves Dr. Jerry Tennant’s polarity-and-voltage framework while changing how the devices are powered, how they respond during use and how they fit into guided protocols.
01 BioTransducer® Power Power connection versus independent operation The earlier BioTransducer connected to the BioModulator for operating power. The BioTransducer has its own rechargeable power system and USB-C charging port.
The earlier cable served as a power connection. It did not transfer the BioModulator’s selected modes into the BioTransducer’s scalar output. The current BioTransducer is electrically independent and typically recharges in approximately three to four hours.
02 Using the Devices Together Connected by a framework—not a power cable The BioTransducer depended on its connection to the earlier BioModulator for power. Each device operates independently and can be used together or at different times.
The current Tennant BioTransducer® and Tennant BioModulator® have separate power systems and distinct functions. They may operate simultaneously or separately when appropriate to the guided application. Within the Tennant framework, polarity is addressed before targeted voltage support when following a sequential protocol.
03 BioModulator® Response Fixed delivery versus real-time adaptation Output followed the selected setting throughout the application. Bioadaptive microcurrent responds to changing electrical interaction in real time.
The current BioModulator does more than continuously send the same selected output. Its real-time biofeedback reads changing tissue interaction and adjusts delivery during application, creating a more responsive and targeted owner experience.
04 Application Accessories Extended setups versus focused application Whole-body workflows commonly used handgrips, footplates and longer accessory-based setups. Handgrips and footplates are no longer required for current-generation application.
Current-generation application is more focused and portable. The BioTransducer works without contact or application accessories, while the BioModulator supports direct, targeted use with the accessories appropriate to the selected area and guided protocol.
05 Modes and Applications Expanded support for current protocols Earlier devices included a more limited collection of core modes and applications. Expanded modes and updated waveforms support more protocol-specific applications.
Current-generation modes combine advanced waveform design, adaptive response and more specific application pathways. This includes the dedicated TENNANT® Mode used within the updated Full-Body Recharge taught through current owner education.
06 Session Workflow Broader routines versus streamlined guidance Broader whole-body routines could require extended setup and application time. More focused protocols support shorter, more practical applications.
Current technology is designed to reduce unnecessary setup and focus each device on its distinct role. Exact positioning, duration and sequence depend on the selected protocol and the education provided to the owner.
07 Education and Upgrade Path Guidance designed for the equipment being used Earlier devices use generation-specific materials, settings and application methods. Owners receive current education, updated protocols and continuing Tennant Health support.
Updated applications—including the current Full-Body Recharge—are designed for current-generation technology and should not be recreated using earlier devices or instructions. Previous-generation owners can discuss available upgrade and trade-in opportunities directly with Tennant Health.

The Tennant System is a coordinated, education-supported approach combining the Tennant BioTransducer®, Tennant BioModulator®, structured protocols, owner education and continuing support.
The technologies perform different functions, while education helps owners understand how each part fits into the complete framework.
03 Why does the Tennant framework address polarity before voltage?
Within Dr. Tennant’s framework, polarity establishes electrical direction. Voltage support is then applied within that organized direction.
That is why the BioTransducer® is used for contact-free polarity support before targeted BioModulator® application when both technologies are included in a sequential protocol.
04 Why is cellular voltage important?
Cells depend on electrical gradients for essential biological activity, including signaling, membrane transport and communication with surrounding tissues.
Dr. Tennant’s framework places voltage at the center of a broader model that also considers polarity, communication and factors that can interfere with normal function.
05 What role does each Tennant technology play?
The Tennant BioTransducer® provides contact-free scalar technology used within the framework for polarity and field-based support.
The Tennant BioModulator® provides targeted adaptive microcurrent with real-time biofeedback. Each can be used independently, and they can also contribute distinct forms of support within a coordinated protocol.
06 Why are structured protocols part of the system?
Protocols organize application into a thoughtful sequence rather than relying on random settings or generalized device use.
The public website explains the purpose and structure of the system. Detailed settings, positioning, timing and application instructions remain within official owner education.
07 Is the Tennant System only for practitioners?
No. The Tennant System is designed to support guided ownership by individuals and families as well as responsible use by practitioners and clinics.
Education and support vary by ownership pathway. Professional use must remain consistent with applicable licensing, scope-of-practice requirements and device labeling.
08 Is Healing Is Voltage® conventional medical treatment?
No. Healing Is Voltage® is an educational framework developed by Dr. Tennant. Some underlying electrical principles are established in physiology, while broader concepts within his framework represent his educational model and are not universally accepted in conventional medicine.
Tennant Health education does not diagnose conditions or replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.

Adaptive Microcurrent.
Responsive by Design.
The current-generation Tennant BioModulator® delivers targeted, bioadaptive microcurrent while responding in real time to changing electrical interaction where it is applied.
Its responsive signal delivery, expanded built-in modes and streamlined application distinguish it from previous-generation fixed-output technology.

Understanding the Tennant BioModulator®
Explore how the current technology works, how it differs from previous generations and what owners receive.
01 What is the Tennant BioModulator®?
The Tennant BioModulator® is a current-generation transcutaneous electrostimulator that delivers low-level, bioadaptive microcurrent to a selected area of the body.
Unlike a device that repeatedly delivers one fixed signal, the BioModulator monitors changing electrical interaction where it is applied and adjusts its output in real time.
02 What does “bioadaptive” or “real-time biofeedback” mean?
Electrical characteristics can change as the BioModulator is used. The device reads this changing interaction and continuously modifies the signal it returns.
That responsive exchange is what Tennant Health means by bioadaptive microcurrent. The output is dynamic instead of being limited to the same unchanging signal throughout an application.
03 How does the current BioModulator differ from previous generations?
Previous-generation devices were limited by earlier manufacturing capabilities and depended more heavily on fixed-output operation, longer sessions and external accessories.
The current BioModulator combines responsive signal delivery, expanded modes and more focused application. It is designed to adapt as electrical interaction changes rather than continue transmitting one static pattern.
04 How is its signal different from conventional fixed-output microcurrent?
The current technology uses specialized waveform patterns together with real-time feedback. Its output changes in response to the electrical interaction detected during application.
This is intended to create a more responsive exchange with the body than conventional equipment that continues sending the same electrical information regardless of changing feedback.
05 What modes are included in the current BioModulator?
The current BioModulator includes fourteen built-in modes: TENNANT®, TEN-8®, Infinity®, V-NER, BBR, Charge, Symmetry, Chronic Pain, Relaxation, Massage, DOSE 3, Acute Trauma, Chronic Joint Pain and Trigger Points.
Owners receive official education explaining how to select and apply the appropriate mode. Mode names identify device presets and should not be interpreted as a promise to diagnose, cure or treat a disease.
06 Does the current BioModulator require footplates or handgrips?
No. Footplates and handgrips are not required for the core current-generation workflows taught by Tennant Health.
The BioModulator is used for direct, targeted application with the device or the appropriate accessory. Owners should follow the instructions provided for the selected application.
07 How long is a typical BioModulator application?
Many targeted current-generation applications are taught in a range of approximately five to ten minutes. The appropriate duration depends on the selected mode, application and individual instructions.
This is a major change from some previous-generation workflows that could involve footplates or handgrips for two to four hours.
08 Can the BioModulator and BioTransducer be used together?
Yes. The devices have distinct roles and may be used separately or at the same time according to official guidance.
Within the Tennant System, polarity is addressed with the BioTransducer before focusing on voltage support with the BioModulator. The current BioTransducer is independently powered, so it does not need to draw energy from the BioModulator.
09 What is the BioModulator’s regulatory status?
Tennant Health identifies the BioModulator as an FDA-accepted Class II transcutaneous electrostimulator for pain relief.
It should be used only according to its labeling, instructions and the guidance provided with the device. It is not intended to diagnose, cure or treat disease.
10 Can someone with a pacemaker or electronic implant use it?
